Shame grows in the dark when we are too afraid to share our secrets. In this vlog, Angus shares his experience of hearing himself minimize trauma in his life. He sees how this was how he tried to protect himself from shame, but of course, that just kept it alive. Unburdening ourselves by sharing helps to set ourselves free. It makes it easier to let go of our own self-judgments that tell us we are unworthy and damaged. If you have been carrying the weight of your own self-judgments, are you willing to risk sharing with another to help you see the truth more clearly? Who you are is whole, lovable, and complete. You can't be damaged by anything that has happened to you in your life. Your essence is love and it always will be.

Angus & Rohini Ross are “The Rewilders.” Listen to their podcast Rewilding Love. Angus and Rohini love working with couples and helping them to reduce conflict and discord in their relationships by pointing them to their innate wisdom and wellbeing. They work with couples who are struggling and couples who would like to deepen the love and intimacy they already have.
