Hello, my name is Sharon and I am so happy to be here.
I was introduced to the 3 Principles through the work I do with horses. I have a varied background; working in sales, hospitality, and education, both in the UK and abroad, but a common thread throughout has been my heartfelt love of horses. They have taught me so many life lessons over the years and ultimately have led me here.
Like many people, I was brought up to believe that following your head rather than your heart, would lead to more tangible success. Somewhat a rebel, I didn’t listen to that, and wearing my heart on my sleeve, I pursued my dream of working with horses. Most of the time it was wonderful, but I did struggle with feelings of inadequacy, of being unworthy, not good enough. Mostly because the path I’d chosen did not lead to the trappings of success that the rest of my family valued so highly. Outwardly confident and self-assured, inwardly plagued by self-doubt and insecurity and constantly comparing myself to others.
This insecurity developed into episodes of depression and anxiety. In the beginning, I painted on a smile and kept going, but as they worsened, I tried counselling, therapy and even medication, with little success. To the point that I believed I was damaged.
So, in 2017, when one of my clients talked of a programme she had completed, that had freed her from years of suffering from anxiety and panic attacks, I signed up immediately. Learning about Sydney Banks and The Three Principles set me on a new path, looking in a different direction. It ignited an inner curiosity, an excitement that I hadn’t felt for years. When I saw where my experience of life was really coming from and woke up to understanding our true nature, I realised that I wasn’t broken. I wasn’t damaged and I didn’t need fixing.
I’ve always been a share-a-holic, which is why I love being a coach. When I find something wonderful, I want to tell the world about it.
How Already Awesome You Are!
I’m passionate about sharing this understanding about HOW our minds work. And I don’t mind if you don’t have a horse!
I am so grateful to be participating in the Rewilder’s Guide training programme, to deepen my understanding. I know that this is a never-ending journey and the only way to really help myself and others, is to keep showing up. And I’m here to help anyone else who just wants to show up too.
I am Certified Facilitator for the London based charity, iHeart – Innate Health Education And Resilience Training - teaching young people, teachers and parents in schools and tutoring individuals and small groups.
I’m also an Accredited Facilitator for TheHorseCourse, a UK registered charity, I run Equine Assisted workshops and retreats.
I live in rural Wiltshire, UK, with my husband Jim, 2 cheeky terriers and of course my horses.
